I chose to dispose of my spare hour in Sydney by visiting Reverse Garbage, an old favourite haunt. I managed to leave with only one item, but what an item- a book of Liberty fabric samples-glorious heavy cotton sateen jaquard/brocade(?)- 27 pieces, almost all in colours I really like. So, an afternoon's work later and I have lush new cushion covers. My beloved rosey ones were getting a bid old and worn*. I have plots for the remaining bits but they can wait a little.
Does anyone know of a similar establishment in Melb? That's more accessible to us westies than Ringwood? (tried to go there once but it was closed).
*I'm sad to retire these. They were made for me as a gift by the lovely lady T who I don't see anywhere near as often as I'd like- but saw in Syd for the first time in 2 years, just before I bought the Liberty samples-what a pleasing conjunction.
