American Pale Ale

Latest brew required a bit of unexpected extra equipment- a hammer and chisel no less! The lid of the wort kit was cross threaded and I couldn't shift it, try though I did. So I ended up chiselling holes in the damn thing. Pretty funny but it worked.

200g crushed cara malt
40g cascade hops
5L water
Saf US-05 yeast
-usual method including rehydrating the yeast
density 1.049.

all set up by 3pm. so when will first gloop be?
