Yes, yes. I know I put this pic on FB. Here makes a better record though. I really should pay for an account again 'cause I am rather attached to my journal. LJ or DW? I use both.

Finally my first pair of lace socks are done. The lace pattern was easy and fun- but proved to be impossible to keep track of whilst conversing. So the leg of the first sock was reknitted more than twice, probably close to three times all up. Eventually I called this a home knitting project and started the first of pair #14 to do in company. That tactic worked. I will note though that lace patterns are less stretchy than plain knit. At least this pattern is. Even after adding in extra stitches, there is still more tension in a few places than I prefer, and thus the pattern get distorted.

You haven't seen pair #12 yet. They were for dear Papa and I forgot to take a pic before I packed them off for his birthday. I shall have to beg him to take pics so I have them on record.

#14 is fun and going well. The first sock is 3/4 done. It's perfectly plain knitting but alternating rows of mostly leftover wool. I likes it.
