My work clothes have been getting tired and tatty. I knew this and hadn't done much about it. Now I've put on enough weight that many of them don't fit either. So while I try to manage the unwelcome girth, I still need clothes to wear! So added motivation to make new things. I've just finished this skirt. Thanks to Antqueen for the fabric. It's a lovely soft lightweight but fuzzy wool. Buttons are vintage shell, button loops are that marvellous vintage brown silk twist again. Zipper and waistband lining are from stash. The tartan is only sort of matched. I cut the skirt with inverted angled panels but the tartan pattern is one way. So I match the burgundy stripes across both front and back, but they don't match on the side seams. Oh well.

I mean to take it on it's first outing tomorrow. Hope I feel ok in it. It's not exactly fashionable.
